Minors AA basically follows the same rules as Minors A with a couple of differences noted in the rules section of this web site. Click here to read the Minors League Rules. It is the intent of Minors Brighton Baseball to foster sportsmanship, skill development and a love for the game within the spirit of competition. All players must play a minimum of 2 innings in the infield, and pitchers are limited to 2 innings per game. Coaches will come in to pitch if the count reaches 4 balls on the batter. Each team is comprised of roughly 12 players, with 10 players (4 outfielders) in the field at a time. See the Minors League rules section of this web site for more details. All games are played at Meridian Field and the season starts with practices throughout April. Games are played from the end of April through the 3rd week in June. The number of games within a season is dependent on the number of teams per division, but is usually 14-16 games per team. Each team makes the play-offs with seeding based on each team's position in the standings at the end of the year.
