The 2005 Williamsport Rule book is the guiding
set of rules for the league.
For clarification purposes, listed below are
a number of rules that are often at question.
1. Per LL Rule 1.11h, use of metal cleats is
permitted.
District 4 strongly discourages use of
metal cleats.
2. Per LL Rule 1.10, use of bats that exceed
the “-3” rating is permitted.
District 4 strongly recommends all players
use bats that are “-3” or less.
3. Per LL Rule 4.10e, a 10 run mercy rule applies.
4. Per LL Rule V-c, pulling players from other
teams to avoid forfeits is allowed.
For Juniors, players may be pulled from other
Junior teams in the same Division only.
For Seniors, 14 year old Junior players may
be pulled up.
The players who are pulled up must play the
outfield and bat last in the batting order.
5. Per LL Rule 4.04, a continuous batting order
policy is in effect.
All players present and on the roster must
bat, up to a limit of 12.
If you have 12 or fewer players they all must
bat.
If you have more than 12 only 12 must bat,
but you may choose to bat them all.
This is regardless of how many players are
batting for the opposing team.
If a player leaves the game due to injury etc.
he is not allowed to re-enter if removed from the batting
order. His position in the batting order is not an out.
6. Per LL Rule 4.17, a team must start and
finish a game with nine players.
7. There are no other rules.
