Coaching

Brighton Baseball, Inc. has instituted annual coaching clinics. They are generally scheduled in March on a weekend morning and run for approximately four hours. Attendance is required for at least one coach per team. The clinic includes a short update on the baseball and softball programs, a safety/sports medicine presentation, and a full session on baseball and softball skills including methods of running team and player practices.

In order to comply with Williamsport Association rules, all coaches are required to have a Little League Volunteer Application on file with Brighton Baseball. You can download the Application (327 kb pdf) or request one from the League President.

Brighton Baseball has donated a variety of baseball related materials (books, videos) to the Brighton Memorial Library, for use by our coaches. There are a number of books and websites dedicated to the subject of coaching, fielding, hitting, base running, game strategies and even organizing practices. The following information may be of value although Brighton Baseball does not specifically endorse, or necessarily reviewed in depth, all of the material highlighted.
